Noel Clark Excellence Award >
Noel Clark EFIAP FAPS PPSA PSQA was a passionate photographer, a successful International exhibitor and respected judge. He was generous with his time to help others and a strong leader within the club throughout the years.
He was a member of the club from February 2008 until November 2019, when he passed away suddenly. Noel was known for his sense of humour, cheeky grin and working tirelessly to help members flourish in their photography. Noel gained great satisfaction seeing club members progress & succeed and rejoiced when they did.

The Noel Clark Excellence Award recognises a member who has actively pursued their passion in photography to improve, progress and succeed. This award may also be used to recognise a member who has contributed to others through club activities.

Valerie Kleindienst FAPS
Valerie began her journey with our club in 2015, in AB grade. Since then she has achieved success within the club moving up to A Grade. She has also achieved success outside of the club through entering National and International Exhibitions. This year Valerie attained the APS Honour of FAPS. This means she has obtained at least 200 acceptances in International exhibitions including 10 Awards from different titles, in at least 5 different countries. A wonderful achievement.
Valerie has been involved with many club activities for a number of years including assisting Dan H with our Qld Interclub submissions, being involved with the Redlands International, and is a member of the RCC club committee.
This year of covid prevented the Beginner User Group from taking place, however Valerie was able to continue assisting some members via the zoom platform. Along with Bob D, Valerie was involved with organising a number of club photowalks into the city. Great work, and Congratulations Valerie!

Dianne Arthur Memorial Award >
Di Arthur had a love and passion for photography in her younger years, then came children and family and other commitments. Later in life Di's passion was rekindled when she joined the Redlands Camera club, she loved photography and had a great passion at a later age in life to improve and grow in it. Di passed away suddenly, but is dearly remembered by all of the many friends within the club for her photography passion, laughter and zest for life.
The woman receiving the Di Arthur award exemplifies a woman with an active passion for photography, improvement and growth to achieve their best.

Gail Mooney
The woman we're honouring exemplifies these qualities. The Di Arthur Memorial Award is presented to Gail Mooney.
Since joining our club in 2016 Gail has shown her dedication to photography and constant improvement.
In recent times Gail has spread her wings and has achieved success in exhibitions outside of the club, including international competitions. Gail has consistently progressed within the club and regularly participates in club events and activities. Congratulations Gail!

Allen Forbes Trophy >
This trophy was designed to recognise the faithfulness of a person in their photographic life, support for other events of the club and assisting others where possible. The Allen Forbes trophy recognises service to the club over a period of time.

Bob Darling
This Trophy is awarded to Bob Darling. Bob joined Redlands Camera Club in mid 2018 and thereafter achieved first place in his grade the following year. Bob is a passionate photographer and always ready with a friendly smile and helpful nature.
He has a keen interest in city photography and this year he and fellow club member Valerie K organised Member PhotoWalks to Southbank / Riverside Centre and Story Bridge / Captain Burke Park and City Botanic Gardens.
These walks were a wonderful opportunity for members to socialise, photograph and re-discover local places in a covid restricted environment. The outings were greatly appreciated by all attendees as a way to see each other outside of the zoom environment and to forget the worries of the world for a while.
Despite what Bob would call a 'steep learning curve', he has both organised and helped to organise various club presentations and outings throughout this year. |
Thank you for all of your awesome work Bob!

Barrie Russell Memorial Award >
Barrie was an original member of the club, a born photographer and successful exhibitor. He was also a talented sail maker and well known in yachting circles.
During his membership of the club, he helped those who were new to photography as well as more experienced members who sought his help.

He died from a heart attack at an early age and this trophy commemorates his memory and club contributions. The taller sections of the trophy represent the sails and the camera, his photography.
The award was established to recognise the contribution of one member during the year to club activities. It has also been used to recognise the commitment and advancement of skills by members, particularly those who are newer members of the club.

Dennis Hughes
This trophy is awarded to Dennis Hughes, we honour and thank Dennis for his dedication and work in his role as Image Critique co-ordinator and Competition Director. 2020 was Dennis' first year in this role and who could have known what 2020 was to hold for us all!
Dennis wholehearted took on the responsibility of continuing to run and manage our Image Critiques seamlessly. This included handling and managing our prints in a new way, Learning a new technology as well as teaching some of our club judges the same.
Not only has he excelled in this role so brilliantly but it may surprise members to know that Dennis only joined our club in 2019! Thank you Dennis!
